Tour 2017: Luke Bryan Performing Kill The Lights
Luke Bryan is one of the greatest names in country music. He has won a number of awards and has been nominated in much more. In 2010, Luke emerged the winner in two awards of Academy of Country Music Awards, and CMT Music Award. In the same year, the singer was nominated but did not win the Country Music Association Awards. In 2011, the artist was nominated in all the awards but did not win any. In the subsequent years, the artist won 15 awards including Album of the year in 2012 for his album Tailgates and Tanlines.
Luke Bryan’s ability to play multiple instruments has made him among the formidable country music performers. His tours have been characterized high electric performance and an appreciating crowd. The tour is among the best tours that we have ever attended. The energy of Luke is one of the factors that make him outstanding among rock artists. In the well-attended tour, the artist performed all his hit songs.
Having attended Luke Bryan’s tour titled Dirt Road Diaries Tour in 2013, I have high expecations of his upcoming tour titled That’s My Kind of Night Tour this year. Other must attend concerts by the artist include the March 17th Luke Bryan concert to be held in Houston Texas at the Reliant Stadium. This cornet will be followed the Houston Rodeo at the same venue. On Saturday 29th March, the artist will be at the University of Texas, Frank Erwin center to perform at the iHeartRadio Country Music Festival. From 25th of April to 27th Luke will perform at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
The musician has the right energey and the right attitude for a performer. Luke will never disappoint when it comes to concert. He can play the music that the fans ask for deep into the night. If you have passion for country music, his tours are a must visit.
This year has been nothing but success for Luke Bryan, one of the most popular modern country musician. Its single ”Drink a Beer” from his ”Crash my Party” album peeked Number One on the Hot Country Songs chart in January and on the Country Airplay chart on February. One month after that he released a new EP which received positive reviews from critics and peaked at Number One on the Top Country Albums chart. EP was followed by the music video filmed for the first album track ”She Got Me High”, that featured Luke Bryan’s Spring Brake concert on Panama City Beach. Concert was part of six year in a row Spinnaker Beach Club performance. Other than that Luke also went on a big tour around United States and Canada to promote his ”Crash My Party” album from 2013.
Tour started on 16. January with concert in Schottenstein Center in Columbus, OH and it is called ”That’s My Kind of Night”. During first leg of the tour Luke held concerts in 18 cities around United States and everything went without a single incident. Some of the most notable places where he performed were Madison Square Garden in NYC and Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Opening act on almost all first leg tour concerts were other two famous country performers, Lee Brice famous for his ”A Woman Like You” and ”Love Like Crazy” hits and Cole Swindell known for his ”Chillin It” hit track from 2013. Setlist is filled with tracks from Luke’s new album like ”Crash My Party”, ”Drink a Beer”, ”Play It Again” etc, with ”That’s My Kind of Night” being an opening act of every concert. Accept songs from his last album, some of the good old hits Luke made his fame with, are also being played. Well known hits like: ”All My Friends Say”, ”Country Man”, ”Rain is a Good Thing” and ”Drunk on You” are part of the repertoire. All this is followed by the powerful encore with two of the most favorite Luke’s songs: ”The Only Way I Know” and ”Country Girl”, both telling the story about boys and girls of small town America and their hopes and dreams. First leg of this great of the tour ended with concert in Bossier City, LA held on 8th March.
After 2 months long pause, the tour continued. Second leg started in May with concert in Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. Opening concert was followed by four concerts tour around Canadian cities, after which Luke went back to the United States. Another thirty live acts were planned before the tour ends. In the moment of writing this text last concert was held in Foxborough, MS and we are all waiting in anticipation for the next one that’s scheduled for 15th August in Philadelphia. In the second leg Luke will perform on Soldier’s Field in Chicago, one more time in Madison Square Garden, NYC and in Hollywood Bowl in LA which is going to be the last concert of this tour. Accept Lee Brice and Cole Swindell, second leg of the tour will introduce two more opening acts, Dierks Bentley with two certified platinum albums and one certified gold album and Brantley Gilbert known for songs like: ”Country Must Be Country Wide”, ”You Don’t Know Her Like i Do” etc. Whole tour received wide critical acclaim, and Luke was commended on his entertainer skills and his commitment to give 200% of itself while on stage.
Second Luke Bryan tour scheduled for this year is a Farm Tour, which represents the series of eight concerts around American South-East. Opening concert will be held in Maple Lane Farm in Knoxville, Tennessee. The thing that makes this tour different from similar tours made by other artists is that Luke decided to visit smaller towns on the road and to pay respect to his own small town roots. These Farm Tours are almost becoming a tradition when we talk about Luke Bryan, last year his small town concerts were held in front of 115,000 fans, and in his own words these are some of his best performances. When planning this tour Luke showed one more time he’s the greatest, by promising to give a large portion of ticket sales to the college funds made for teens from farming families. From 1st to 11th October Luke planned to perform on eight concerts in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and South Carolina. This concert tour will be closed with the performance in Macon, GA. on 11th October.
You’ve probably noticed that unlike other stars, Luke is very proud of its small town ancestry. He was born and raised in Leesburg, GA, where his dad owned a peanut farm. Since early age his music talent was evident, so his father often took him to local club where he entertained smaller crowds. His family was very supportive and they helped him a lot with his music career. Later he planned to move to Nashville, but his brother was killed in a car accident, so he decided to stay and help his family to overcome this tragedy. Although he didn’t pursuit his dreams in Nashville, he continued to play music in local clubs, while helping his father with peanut business. His father saw Luke’s music potential and made him quit his farm job and move to Tennessee. As soon as he get there, he started working for a songwriting company owned by Roger Murrah, and soon after that he started his performing career with one of his biggest hits up to this day, ”All My Friends Say” made in 2007. Same year he released his first album, named ”I’ll Stay Me”. Album featured another two singles, ”We Rode Trucks” and ”Country Man”. Two years later he released a ”Spring Break With All My Friends” EP that featured ”Do I” single which he made with Charles Kelly and Dave Haywood. Same single was part of his second album named ”Doin’ My Thing”, that brought few more hit singles to the Country Hit charts. Album was followed by another Spring Break EP, this time called ”Spring Break… Hangover Edition”. Luke made his third studio album called ”Tailgates & Tanlines” in 2011. It featured 3 hit singles that peaked at number one on Country Hit charts, all of them being regularly performed on all of his concerts and gigs. His last ”Crash My Party” studio album that we mentioned earlier, has been by far the most successful out of all of the four previous ones. He continued with his Spring Break EP tradition and he’s one of the most popular modern country music performers at the moment. Luckily Luke didn’t went crazy after reaching the top. He is still proud of his family and birthplace, and who wouldn’t, when his sister Kelly managed to bring all residents of Leesburg on one of his first big performances on Grand Ole Opry. He is married to his college sweetheart Caroline Boyer, with whom he has two sons.
